When I was contacted to see if I would be interested in doing an exhibition where the theme was to make one sheet posters of NES games I jumped at the chance to make mine based on Contra, a run and gun game from the 80s.

Right from the beginning I was wanting to use the level 3 boss in some way since the waterfall stage is the best level in the game and to have Bill & Lance firing everything they've got at it seemed like the best opportunity to make this.
