An independent boutique I previously owned and ran in Sendai, Japan. I created the shop’s interior and visual identity, taking responsibility for everything from the layout and furniture selection to product buying, styling and everyday displays.

I brought together clothing, jewellery and fashion accessories in an eclectic, welcoming space. Wooden crates, characterful furniture, ornate mirrors and decorative objects provided different ways to present products, combining practical display solutions with a sense of discovery.

I regularly refreshed the displays as stock changed, arranging pieces across brands and categories while considering how customers would move through and shop the space. These photographs document my former boutique, which I closed before relocating to Tokyo.
