ABOUT
TOUCH was a personal project, a series of narrative drawings created during the lockdown. Apart from the self-explanatory theme of self-isolation, this piece can be characterised by a certain sense of longing that's a constant amidst the slew of anxieties every routine day throws at us. The kind that isn't essentially sexual, and is as regular as the woman on the roadside you get your cup of evening tea from. We mostly fail to or are too indifferent to acknowledge the comfort that the familiarity of something or someone brings, unless the unexpected happens, and we're told to hold hands with the unfamiliar. I've always been fascinated by how beautiful little things can feel but more so when you have them no more, or even if you're temporarily parted from them. This period of lockdown and self isolation has intensified this longing.
