ABOUT
The 36 days of type project was inspired by the rural art form Kantha practiced in the Eastern states of India so as to speak West Bengal, Assam, and Orissa. The craft involves patching soft cotton fabrics with the help of running stitches to make blankets, sarees, covers or soft carpets to lay on. Kantha is a hereditary art form meaning it is passed on from the mother to the daughter.
