Pop-up Book “Thoughts”
I began with a piece of prose “we are our own demons” by Roland Barthes, and a place Thames River, I named my book “Thoughts” as if what you are going to see in the book are the thoughts that pop-up in my mind. I wanted to illustrate the different ways of expressing love feelings trying to show that we could enjoy every moment with our beloved people.
While I was designing the book I decided focusing sometimes on the images making them popping up and in others just using big images by spreading them on two pages with small text on the side or otherwise giving priority to the text and having a plan background. What I was trying to do is whenever the reader is turning the page he/she sees something unexpected. So, I fixed the colours (white, black and red) that I am using and I kept changing the ideas.
