ABOUT
CONCEPT
This large-format publication was created to document Missouri's award-winning state park system through photography, history, conservation, and cultural storytelling. Edited by environmental historian Susan Flader, the book highlights all 88 Missouri state parks and historic sites.
EXECUTION
The project involved organizing hundreds of photographs and extensive written content spanning diverse landscapes, recreational experiences, historical sites, and conservation initiatives. I developed the editorial structure, visual hierarchy, typography systems, image sequencing, and layout design to create a reading experience that balanced information with visual immersion.
RESULTS
The finished book presents Missouri's parks and historic sites as a connected story rather than a collection of destinations, creating a cohesive publication that celebrates the state's natural and cultural heritage.
