About me

As you will see from my CV, I have recently been made redundant from a fashion supplier where I was employed as a Designer.

In my previous position I was responsible for design a collection from briefing to production, and was overseen by our product developer. I began working as a junior designer and proved my skills throughout the years into becoming the only permanent in house designer. I worked closely with the buying team and factories in the Far East and Turkey, which I feel was an invaluable experience.

Following a collection from my intial design CADS through to working with the merchandiser on strike-offs and then to attending fit meetings with the QC, I am aware of the importance of deadlines and maintaining the critical path aswell as a well rounded understanding of the production processes involved in the business aswell as the design.

Though most of my experience as a fashion designer has been working in childrenswear specifically boyswear, the small amount of ladies loungewear and sleep I have designed I savoured, and feel I would also be competant in this field. Although I thoroughly enjoy licensed design, I would also enjoy a change from Disney childrenswear and work with a product which is less character orientated and more fashion forward. My CAD skills are excellent on photoshop and I am also competant when using illustrator. I am willing to learn, a great team player and I thrive on new challenges.
