Dear Sir / Madam,I have seen your position advertised for the role of Creative Artworker Ref: ABCA098 and I am extremely interested. My very first job after finishing education was for a company called Sonia Spencer Designs where I made ceramic cufflinks by hand. This was my first insight into design and a job that I truly loved and learned a great deal from. I am now keen to get back into this creative field with a mixture of art and design as this is where my passion is.I am currently working as a Sales Manager in Journals Special Sales at Oxford University Press but my interest has always been in art and design and I have always been very creative and crave to get back into this field where I feel I truly belong.Having worked in publishing for over 3 years I feel I have a very good understanding of design and design processes as it has been so intrinsically linked with my current position. I have worked on internal and external projects with our Marketing Department, journal societies and printers to put together an array of marketing material for better journal exposure. I am currently working on an internal intranet page which I am leading along with being the photographer for the project.I wish to become a Creative Artworker and work within an agency atmosphere so that I can be involved in the art and design side as this is where my strengths lie. I understand the importance of product branding whether it be for books or for consumer products. Together with my determination to get into this field and my enthusiasm to succeed I know that I would be a great asset through continued hard work and dedication.I am proficient in MAC, Photoshop, Indesign, etc.Along with art and design, another big passion of mine is photography which I practice in my spare time whilst also visiting art galleries and exhibitions whenever possible and reading books on Art History and Design.
