ABOUT

Much has been achieved in the last decades to fight and overcome HIV and AIDS. But in the global effort to end the epidemic, children and adolescents continue to fall behind. Prevention is one of UNICEF’s key areas of work to stop HIV infections and AIDS deaths. And in order to break the cycle of new infections, educating young people is key.

This is why we created Madhouse, a charity event for UNICEF Aids to raise awareness of STDs among young adults. However, we didn’t want to create a traditional fundraising event but instead launched a clubbing event and hosted a curated fashion show with supporting illustrations showing scenes that outlined how people can get infected, which was the main performance of the event. It was brought to life through unique talent partners such as Austrian drag queen Tamara Mascara and relevant industry experts from the charity itself.
