CONCEPT
A self-directed illustration series I made for being a vendor at Chilliwack's Pride Festival in 2025. I combined my preferred colour palette (pastel/vibrant colours), retro nostalgia (late 80s to early 00s), diverse character designs, and Pride representation into my work. Each piece represents a different Pride identity, and something from my childhood I loved, or am really inspired by.

EXECUTION
I used Photoshop to create the first piece, then switched over to Krita for the rest of the series. Each piece's background is a gradient emulating a different Pride flag. I tried picking nostalgia topics that would fit each identity I matched with it (ex: Lesbian Pride piece has a magical girl topic). I experimented with style choices for drawing each character, but overall I made sure all the pieces feel consistent throughout.

RESULTS
I put all these pieces up for sale as 4x6 and 8.5x11 prints at the Pride Festival. I sold quite a few 4x6 prints throughout the day! I got a lot of good feedback from attendees, and I'm very proud of how the series turned out. It's inspired me to work on more series' in the future!
