Drawing inspiration from the distinctive style of Peaky Blinders, I set out to craft a classic 1920s Baker Boy cap as a focal point of my degree project. My journey commenced with thorough research, including in-depth analysis of authentic baker boy hats and consultation of construction resources such as books and videos. I meticulously drafted a pattern, creating a toile for fittings, and refined the design to craft the final hat from wool, incorporating a quilted lining to ensure structural integrity.
