I would like to apply for the position of Graphic Designer that I saw advertised on Indeed. My name is Sanjeev Dass and I'm currently looking to pursue my career in the design sector, opening myself up to challenging opportunities to develop my creative ability as a Graphic Designer. I have an Upper Second Class with Honours degree in Product Design from Coventry University, have started my own design business and am currently working as a graphic designer managing an extremely busy Design & Print Centre.

In my current position I was handpicked by the Business Development Manager to implement the installation of the first Design & Print Hub in a Ryman store outside of London; offering an affordable and convenient graphic design service on the High Street. I'm now managing this extremely busy department offering graphic design & print which is responsible for 20% of the total store sales per week. I act as a graphic designer taking a customer's idea and transforming it into a fully finished and complete piece of artwork such as corporate literature, point of sale, leaflets, posters, booklets, logos, web banners and business cards. As we specialise in offering a fast turnaround time I'm able to create high quality graphics and artwork within a small timeframe. Working in an extremely busy and faced paced department, it's of the utmost importance that I'm an excellent independent worker who always see's tasks all the way through to the end. I continuously multi-task and manage my own time even when working to extremely tight deadlines. I also have experience of designing within brand guidelines as I regularly create point of sale and marketing material for the store. I've built excellent skills in artworking and creating graphic design for print; skills which are perfectly suited to this role of Graphic Designer. I'm fluent with Mac and PC and have an in-depth understanding of Adobe Creative Suite, iMovie, Keyshot and Rhinoceros 3D.

During the time of running my own business I created all print, web & video marketing material in-house. This ensured I had to have excellent written and visual communication skills and a high attention to detail to ensure all finished media were nothing but perfect. I also have excellent interpersonal skills which have been built up through networking for my business, allowing me to quickly and efficiently build relationships & rapport. I've also built up an ability to manage my workload whilst working on a range of projects, always keeping a consistent high quality of work at all times.

I believe I could fit in extremely well within your company and hit the ground running in the position of Graphic Designer.due to my previous experience in the design & print industry, managerial qualities, creative talent and excellent graphic design abilities.
