Brief:
The brief was to create a powerful design that aligned with the principles of the Black Lives Matter movement while also reflecting my identity as a Hindu chaplain, interfaith leader, and artist committed to justice and spiritual truth. The goal was to contribute meaningfully to the national conversation on racial equity through art that resonates across cultures and communities.

Approach & Process:
My approach centered on merging sacred iconography and Hindu philosophy—particularly teachings on dharma (righteous action) and ahimsa (non-violence)—with bold graphic elements inspired by protest and solidarity movements. I drew from my experience in both religious leadership and professional design to create a piece that was not only aesthetically impactful but also spiritually grounded and educational. I incorporated visual motifs of major world religions in a modern, street-art influenced composition, showing that the struggle for justice transcends cultural boundaries.

Result:
The design was widely shared and celebrated for its authenticity, originality, and interfaith solidarity. It won multiple national awards, including recognition from Mozaik Philanthropy for art in advocacy. The piece was praised by educators, spiritual leaders, and activists for uplifting communities of color and honoring Black lives through a non-Western spiritual lens. It stands as a testament to the power of cross-cultural design in promoting justice, healing, and unity.
