ABOUT

The tripartite structure of the film is based on the structure of classical music ‘gipsy’ compositions: Improvisation - Sorrow - Euphoria. Improvisation presents the way the gypsy population improvise to earn a living; sorrow is getting closer to them as individuals, at times aware of their poverty and misfortune; euphoria depicts the moment of letting go to an overwhelming intense state of chaos.
Simultaneous contrast is an art pheno- menon of ‘deceiving perception’ when a matter (bright yellow happiness) being exposed to a neutral background (grey microcosmos of the gypsy flee market) becoms its very opposite in our eyes (violet sadness).

The film is like a painting, it occupies our attention, thoughts or feelings, but is still perceived from a distance.
