About me
In November 1989 I started work as a Visual Aids assistant for McKinsey & Company as a temp in their Amsterdam office. In February 1990 this position became permanent. This involved designing and creating presentations in 'Solo' on an Apple Mac. After a few years the company went over to Powerpoint on Windows computers. Unofficially I was also the department manager's back-up and looked after the production diary/scheduling while he was out of the office. In 1995 an opportunity to join the London office Graphics Department came up, which I took in March 1995. Here I was part of a ca. 20 strong group of people all responsible for creating and enhancing Powerpoint presentations. Throughout my years at McKinsey I have held different positions as they reorganised, but the main skill was the use of Powerpoint. The last year I have attended a Powerpoint animations course, and a 2-day basic Photoshop course. I am doing a Photoshop course from CD-ROM/accompanying book at the moment and I am hoping to learn In-design and Illustrator next.
