About me

Dear Sir or Madam,

I have over twelve years experience in the print industry as a mac operator / creative artworker. My previous

job was working for a labels manufacturer in Old Trafford, Manchester. I worked solo on all design and

artwork briefs, which included bedding & carpet labels and many other types of promotional material for

leading manufacturers such as Silentnight, Slumberland and Sealy, being just a few. I have also designed

other types of labels and packaging unconnected with bedding, for customers like the Outdoor Group, Peter

Storm and Blacks. I also have a sound knowledge of print production, having prepared print ready for digital

and computer-to-plate workflow. I work on mac mainly and pc's occasionally using current software, this

being the CS4/CS5 suite; illustrator, Photoshop, indesign and Quark.

I have accumulated a range of valuable skills working within the printing industry. This has involved learning

to prioritise the different aspects of my work-load as well as keeping customers happy. Working in the

printing industry usually means being accustomed to the pressure of working in an environment that

requires a quick turn around from concepts to printed product with a keen eye for detail and spotting

mistakes along the way. My previous job required me to multi-task various roles; such as designing artwork

to tight deadlines, dealing with associated paperwork, approvals, keeping and ensuring digital records were

current, liaising daily with customers and sales, and having joint responsibility of looking after a small

network of macs, pc's, printers, scanners and other equipment, including general trouble shooting within

the systems.

I have excellent communication skills, work well as part of a team and value new challenges and the

chance to learn new skills. I'm very self-motivated, adaptable, honest, loyal and hard working.
