I am writing in application to the Junior Digital Designer position at createselect.
I have recently started to pursue freelance work while searching for the right Junior Designer role. I recently finished working for a small studio called Since Creative as an art worker / junior designer. This involved art working from brand guidelines, predominantly for print posters and web banners for London based student unions such as LSESU and UAL. Previous to working with Since, I interned for The Simply Group, a publishers and consultants specialising in social media within internal comms for large enterprise. I was the design lead for the company re brand, developing the new identity and designing the magazine website, letter heads and business cards. As part of the internship I was also the designer for the company's event 'Smile London', a large event surrounding social media within internal communication. This involved producing event graphics, motion graphics and tickets. I continue for work for the simply group on an ad hoc freelance basis.
I am proficient in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop and a good understanding of typography. I have dabbled with and am interested in developing my skills in After Effects. I graduated from the Graphic Design course at Shillington College in Manchester in July 2015, and have a first class degree in Creative Advertising from Leeds College of Art.
