ABOUT

This is a class project that tackles the problem space of on-campus advertising. As prior organization board members and regular students, we all felt the struggle of getting word out and the annoyance of giving/receiving flyers. We were set on finding a solution for both parties.

Before we start brainstorming solutions, we have to spot specific problems first. We did this by conducting contextual research, user interviews, and competitive analysis. From this, we identified user pain points that really pinned the specific frustrations that users feel. Now that we have specific problems we can focus on, we started brainstorming potential solutions, and decided on a digital bulletin board that enhances publicity of on-campus events and allows equal discoverability of all organizations/resources. During this design process, we conducted multiple usability testing sessions and iterated on our design. Because this project had a time constraint, we didn't iterate as much as we'd like, but because I really enjoyed this project, I took it on my own hands and iterated multiple times after the project.

After presenting our solution to the class and professor, we received really positive feedback and constructive criticism as well. Overall, our target audience said that this is a solution they would love to use. Nevertheless, if our group had more time, we would definitely perform more user testing sessions on both the physical and digital prototype, and we would have absolutely loved to dive more into the validation process.
