Having seen our Aston Martin drone footage, RPA brought us in as their production partner to promote the release of the Honda Pilot online; the idea requiring a combination of drone footage with a classic 360 spin. To help the client see the idea, we put together a sizzle reel and animatic to show how we would bring the concept to life, using Google Earth to define the path that the drone would take around the choice of location, allowing the producers to arrange the right amount of road to close off. The team jetted off to a lovely location in Oregon to capture dramatic live action footage where we pushed the limits of what a drone can do, alongside HDRi captures and photographic back plates. Our ability to produce daring and dramatic film using motion tracking and rotoscoping creates an electrifying new perspective on the traditional 360 spin!
