We already had a strong portfolio of hyper-realistic, high-resolution CG animals, but to answer this brief our artists studied the physiology of fur to ensure the panther was as authentic as possible. We used cutting-edge technology to create five different hair lengths for the body fur, as well as ‘special’ fur for the panther’s ears, belly, and tail. Our artists rendered 4,160 000 individual hairs that they were then able to edit and fine-tune, before fully incorporating the animal into content that was consistent with the client’s existing imagery.
