Rouge Velours takes the logic of a folk embroidery — a four-way medallion built from tulips, leaves and a beaded stem — and cuts it in flat shapes with no outline at all. Everything happens inside the reds: a wine ground, carmine petals, a brighter rose on the diagonal arms, and two ivory leaves per medallion, placed exactly where a stitched sampler would leave the linen bare. Three seamless designs run from the full medallion, through a reduced four-petal repeat that alternates solid and ghosted, to a tulip sprig tossed on warm cream — so the same hand can carry a coat as a placement print and a jacket as a woven-looking texture.
