ABOUT

Obsidian is a damask drawn only in line. A six-lobed medallion of hearts, leaves and a small central rosette is traced in rose-nude on near-black, doubled by a ghosted copy of itself and pinned at the core by a single burgundy stroke. Nothing is filled: depth comes from three line weights sitting one behind the other. The design exists in two grounds — obsidian and rose nude — plus a dense all-over version and a four-point star lattice that reads as pure texture, so the same drawing can be a black evening coat one moment and a nude silk scarf the next. Seamless vector repeats for evening wear, outerwear, scarves and leather goods.
