This is my portrait of John Waters, from a series of illustrated images of inspirational film directors.

John Waters is best known as the creator and director of the hit musical Hairspray. His influence in the underground, cult film world has been extraordinary, he has fearless drive to tackle subjects most would run away from. Sexuality (with emphasis on queer culture), religion and women's rights are all celebrated in fabulously bad taste.
