Drawing on more than a decade of experience managing complex projects and contract negotiations on behalf of clients in the film and television industry, Ryan Ly serves as principal of Curate Entertainment. Prior to joining the Los Angeles-based firm in 2017, Ryan Ly was head of the television literary department of Creative Artists Agency (CAA), where he was responsible for managing the financial success of the department and guiding a team of 18 agents in securing work on high-profile TV series for more than 500 clients. He became CAA's youngest department head when he was promoted to the position in 2013, and previously worked five years with the agency in the capacity of television literary and packaging agent.
Through 12 years with CAA, he represented clients responsible for generating millions of dollars in revenue through commissions and helped the agency achieve landmark award season results with more award-nominated writers than competing agencies. He also played a significant role in shaping CAA diversity and inclusion efforts. Mr. Ly holds a bachelor's degree in English and film studies from the University of Pennsylvania and continues to support his alma mater through his membership with its Orrery Society and the establishment of the Ryan Ly and Family Endowed Collection Fund.
