I am a luminous, self-motivated and results driven individual seeking a new opportunity to progress further within social media marketing.
My motivation for applying to this role comes from my proven track record of being able to drive results and quickly capture a brand's tone and personality in order to target diverse audiences with fresh and engaging content. My in-depth working knowledge of social media marketing, go-getter attitude and strong work ethic, would enable me to be successful within this role.
Currently, I work for Riviera Travel, an award-winning, luxury travel company. Initially, I worked as a Digital Marketing Assistant, but moved into a Senior Social Media Executive role within one month of joining the department after identifying that the social media channels were being neglected. Knowing the power and importance of social media as a marketing tool, I used my initiative to create a social media proposal and pitched it to senior stakeholders. This was a huge success and as a result, I achieved a higher investment in the brand's social media channels.
My responsibilities include managing and coordinating all social media activity, working closely with an external digital marketing agency to develop and implement social media strategies and campaigns, in order to build brand awareness, drive website traffic and increase engagement and audience growth. I feel I have been successful in carrying out these duties as I have achieved an audience growth of 86% on Facebook, predominantly through organic strategy and have doubled the company's Instagram following. Additionally, I am also proud to have achieved the best post the brand's Facebook page has ever seen in terms of reach (261,379), engagement (99,894) and impressions (332,708). This post was part of product launch campaign. In a six-month time span, I have generated £633k in revenue from two successful, cross-channel lead generation campaigns, one of which generated 39,449 new leads to retarget. I ran these campaigns to align with business needs, pushing product categories that were behind on sales.
In managing the social content strategy and calendar for both the UK and US platforms, I ensure the content aligns with the product and marketing teams' objectives, as well as curating content and producing reactive posts. My creative story telling includes a variety of UGC, blogs, competitions, brand and behind the scenes content. With a test and learn approach, I have nurtured and defined the brand's social media presence, tone and personality, plus I understand what content resonates with the target audience. I analyse performance through Hootsuite, Google Analytics and the platform insight tabs, then use the findings to shape the social content calendar report on performance in the fortnightly marketing meetings.
Community management is also a big aspect of my role and being customer orientated, an aspect I really enjoy. My success in building relationships, having meaningful conversations and achieving a continuously engaged audience has been recognised by ABTA's (leading travel body) social media experts as being one of the best accounts they have come across in terms of community engagement.
Additionally, using my strong copywriting skills I write and sub-edit weekly blog posts, using tactful keywords to increase their visibility for SEO. As well as this, I edit, upload and publish the websites content using the CMS. I also source all assets, and sometimes assist on brand content shoots and brief the design team on any creatives I require.
Moreover, I possess great organisational skills and the ability to manage my time effectively. Subsequently, I am able to collaboratively work with other departments, juggle multiple projects and reprioritise tasks in line with the fast-changing needs of the business and meet tight deadlines.
I believe that my experience, transferable skillset and drive to become one of the best social media marketers in the field would make me a valuable asset.
