‘Neon Party’ is my graduate collection.
My research included the fashion trend ‘Dopamine Dressing’ which was set out by WGSN. The trend suggests that there is a direct connection between our mood and the clothes we wear, therefore aims to elevate wellbeing by creating joyful and bright patterns and clothing. My initial starting point was celebrations, I took inspiration from parties which was when I uncovered the beauty of neon signs, which heavily influenced my project.

I created a series of textile pieces for fashion featuring intricate embroidery designs finished with hand embellishments, as well as using fluorescent threads in order to mimic the neon lights that formed part of my inspiration.
