I was given the brief of designing a logo for The Hemel Hempstead Old Town Hall's Upstaged scheme which offered discounts, perks and events aimed at younger people. The logo would be used across all "Upstaged" material, such as posters and online.
I was given a large amount of creative license for this project. I aimed to design a piece that I could imagine at the top of a poster or webpage, hence the placing of the theatre lights. The usage of the the theatre lights was so the scheme could be associated to The Old Town Hall by those who know little about it. In the second logo I designed, the "Staged" was slanted to replicate a real life stage, which are often slightly higher at the back or "up stage", further associated the scheme with the local theatre house.
