The brief for this task was to create two posters using InDesign and/or Photoshop to be used in a Social Awareness Campaign of our choice, in which I chose to focus on the global issue of plastic pollution.
The first poster was designed to capture the viewer's attention whilst the second aimed to provide a large amount of information to inform the viewer of ways they can help the cause, as well as giving them a greater understanding of the issues.
I chose to base my first poster around the famous "Your Country Needs You" design as its iconic status would easily be recognised and catch the attention of a passer by. I also figured that the original line could be altered to fit my chosen theme ("Humans, Your Planet Needs You"). For the second, I broke down the information into five headings to make it easier for the reader to digest and for design purposes. So the two posters could be affiliated to the same campaign, I used the same colour scheme over both designs.
I was very pleased with the design of the two posters I produced and how they portrayed the message of the campaign alongside the other media I produced for it (video, online content).
