Dear Sir/ Madam,

Please find below a brief introduction to my professional background.

With over eight years experience within the branded retail and wholesale design sector, I am now looking for a new opportunity within the design arena. Having worked within a busy design department, I have developed strong organisational and analytical skills. I have experience of live contract management and design management and a strong background in working with various renowned licencee approval bodies.

My previous role involved liasing with brand consultancy's over various different media, products and projects. I have the advantage of first hand experience of the work involved within brand guideline and style guide approval processes. I also have the advantage of having worked as a designer, using the creative suites on a frequent basis. As such, I can competently explain, understand and communicate design changes that would need to be implemented to artwork effectively and efficiently in a coherent and professional manner.

I posses strong typographic and proof reading abilities and an excellent eye for detail. I have also developed an extensive knowledge of print and colour production techniques. I have working knowledge of Word, Excel, Powerpoint and extensive experience of working in Adobe Creative Suite. I also have knowledge of 3D Autocad, DSLR photography and other professional design tools.

In my previous role, I was engaged in the updating and organising of all live artworks used within the business. I implemented new systems to ensure that this process ran efficiently and the critical paths were updated and correct at time of going to production. This is involved adhering to the strict brand and legislative guidelines to ensure the final outcome/product would be of the highest quality and professional standard as possible.

Throughout my career I have had the opportunity to work closely with management, buyers, designers and also directly with suppliers throughout Europe and the Far East. With excellent communication skills I have vast experience of face to face meetings as well as use of the usual communication methods i.e email and telephone.

I am open to relocation and have a flexible attitude to working hours, a strong work ethic and indepth knowledge of the branded retail and wholesale trade. I am always looking to improve and build upon my own abilities within my work remit.

I look to push the boundaries and make successful all of the projects I undertake, with a professional and dedicated attitude. I enjoy working independently and as part of a dynamic team who look to further themselves as well as the company they are employed by.
