About me
I want to pass my CV to you and express my huge interest in any opening Junior Production Assistant positions within the creative fields of Film, Advertising, TV. For me the time is now or never for me to make the leap into production. I have huge respect for the work of agencies, production companies and post houses in this fast-growing and ever-changing advertising climate and have most recently been a big follower of the many integrated agency's growth, after having had to keep a fixed eye on their movements in my current job as a director's representative. This current role involves a lot of client liaising as well as knowing the market and all its leading brands, agencies and products. I started in January 2011 and have had a year of helping out with pitches, treatments, budgets and bookings whilst building up an extensive repertoire of agency contacts worldwide. I love my job, but the amount of 'hands on' commitment is lacking and I like to keep a busy body as well as mind! Before Short Films I was producing for edit house Speade. Speade gave me an all-encompassing knowledge of project management within post production, from the moment we budgeted to the moment the spot was ready to air. It was an education that many in production recognise as priceless when shooting a commercial. So too was the opportunity to take the APA masterclass back in 2009 where I again learned some invaluable lessons in producing in advertising. As well as attending almost every shoot we've done at Short, I've been a part of many 'out of work' productions, including PA'ing for my older brothers short film 'shifter' (Dir. Ben Parker, Prod. Jen Handorf) which premiered at Fright Fest just before Ben Wheatley's 'Kill List'. It was the hardest yet most rewarding production I've ever been a part of. I was needed and I was competent - two things that managed to clinch the fact that my goal is to be more hands on within my impending career in production. More hopefully...within an advertising agency. I would love the opportunity to meet any prospective employers in person to chat further...(CV attached). Best wishes, Rosie
