ABOUT

No time? No problem.

Held every June in the London borough of Southwark and designed to celebrate community spirit and togetherness, Bankside Open Spaces Festival (BOSF) is one of the capital’s biggest free festivals.

Our brief was simple - to make as much noise as possible on social media and in the press in the four-week run up to the event.

Following a speedy immersion into the host organisation (Bankside Open Spaces Trust) and the festival’s values and news, we turned around a plan, press release, target list and content calendar in a matter of days and were tailoring pitches to media and posting on social channels just a week after being briefed.

In the month leading up to the festival we landed 18 pieces of coverage across key local and regional media outlets, including Southwark news, Londonist, All in London, London Post, and a three-minute interview for the Chair of Bankside Open Spaces Trust, Tim Wood, with BBC Radio London.

In the time Rooster was managing the social media accounts, BOST saw a 188% increase in accounts reached, 121% increase in accounts engaged and an 11% increase in follower numbers.

Results:
Project length: 5 weeks
Coverage hits: 18
Estimated views: 125k
Social media: “Best engagement figures we’ve ever had”
