ABOUT
The brief given by Sky was to dramatise how Sky Business Mobile’s flexibility makes customers feel, while reinforcing Sky’s ability to keep pace with business owners as they navigate their unpredictable world. The campaign was designed for multiple mediums, including cinema, TV, VOD, and social platforms, with the aim of instilling a sense of power, purpose, and connection among small business owners, ensuring they feel supported. Rather than focusing on product jargon, the spot leans into the emotional benefits Sky Business provides, ultimately delivering a smoother, more manageable working day.
At the heart of the campaign is Kate, a small business owner who uses Sky’s rollover service. Throughout her journey, brand colours and tube graphics are seamlessly woven into the world around her, visually reinforcing how she is empowered by Sky Business’s connectivity. The campaign sets out to disrupt the clichéd B2B mobile market, replacing what creatives describe as “dull” advertising with something far more joyful and energetic. It is specifically targeted at small business owners who value flexibility, efficiency, and support in their day-to-day operations.
The execution brings this to life through dynamic, fluid camera work, including FPV drones and skate-cams, mirroring the effortless data sharing enabled by Sky Business Mobile. Casting required talent who could both act and skate professionally, with all skating performed and captured in-camera rather than created in post-production, adding authenticity and energy to the film. Set to the Sugababes’ iconic 90s track “Round Round,” the narrative follows Kate’s vibrant journey across town, with the music reinforcing the campaign’s ‘Roll & Share’ message. The ad concludes at Kate’s Skates, where Sky Business data tubes visually demonstrate the feature that automatically rolls over unused data and shares it across her team.
