About me

Dear Sir/Madam

My name is Robyn Armstrong I have recently graduated from the University for the Creative Arts, Rochester (UCA) having completed a BA Honors degree in Photography (Contemporary Practice). I have completed work placements for photographic developments as well having worked alongside fashion professionals within the magazine industry. Before attending UCA I also completed a National Diploma (BTEC) in Art & Design at the Colchester Institute which has given me a great knowledge of all areas of art including textiles, photography, fine art and graphics.

I have interned at Photo Vogue Studios who are based in Essex where my duties have included assisting studio based fashion shoots along with family portrait sessions and wedding photography. I have also took part in the Medway Photo Festival as part of my second year of my degree which included producing final images to be exhibited in a group exhibition which was open to the public for viewing. I have also worked alongside a fashion editor at 125 magazine as part of my final year at university in which I had to produce a series of fashion related images around the theme of 'toxic beauty' which then went on to be considered to be published in the magazine.

My most recent internship included acting as PA to fashion photographer Tony McGee. Other duties included social media and blogging on a regular basis along with general admin tasks such as replying to emails, making phone calls and meeting with clients and other industry professionals.

I am a highly motivated, hardworking individual with the experience to get things done efficiently, and who always gives 110% to whatever the job may be. I'm a team player with a fun personality, who loves being creative, and has a passion for fashion and all areas of art and design. I am eagerly looking to gain experience and further my career in the design and fashion field and having the opportunity to work at such an establishment will be a valuable experience in developing my skills in both the design and creative industry.

I hope to gain experience and see how the design industry works in relation to the creative world and see all the possibilities that are open to a creative individual such as me. I am very keen to learn and develop new skills along with applying my own knowledge to produce and create new projects. I also feel having studied photography at degree level that I have a great deal of knowledge in all things visual and creative, making me the perfect candidate for this job.

I believe I could benefit your company by providing new ideas, contribute my organizational skills and my ability to work well in a group. My software training focused primarily on Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, as well as the standard Microsoft Office applications. I am proficient in both MAC and Windows operating systems.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my application.

Yours Faithfully,

Robyn Armstrong
