Dear Gabriele,

I would like to apply for your vacancy for a copywriter/editor and have attached my CV for your consideration.

I have extensive copywriting, editing and publishing experience and have also worked in a dedicated communications role, so feel my skills are very much suited to this role.

As well as good journalistic and editorial skills I have considerable experience in bringing publications from the initial design consultation stages to delivery, working as the head of a project team to do this.

These publications have included internal and external stakeholder magazines and newsletters, staff magazines, corporate publications and literature, as well as one-off brochures and programmes.

Among the clients I have helped with publications, branding and advertising are PFA Scotland, BAE Systems, Glasgow Housing Association and Standard Life.

I have also worked with clients to develop their digital offerings and have a good working knowledge of content management systems and social media.

As well as considerable knowledge of the print and production process, I have excellent project management skills and enjoy working independently or as part of a team.

I am very keen to relocate for the right position. Having previously lived in the London area for 10 years I am able to move quickly and not tied to any notice period in my current post (maternity cover until March next year).
