ABOUT

. - . . is a quarterly magazine designed as an archive of contemporary culture for those concerned by, involved in and affected by the stories within. Each story is intended as a snapchat of the information and content contained within.

Our editor’s letter states;

“Each decade of the twentieth century had its own distinctive personality, evolving year on year through advancing technology and attitudes. However, globalisation in the 21st century has shattered the standard notion of decades as their own standalone part of time.
In an age when the whole world is accessible to our generation by way of the internet, we have all been provided a platform for self-expression like never before, breaking down taboos and stereotypes and allowing a wider choice of styles in many forms of artistic exposition. Our collective of six is passionate about communicating this new and existing British culture to the pages in front of you.
We are a quarterly released publication with the hope that our readers will collect future issues to build an archive which, when revisited, will clearly illustrate this decade’s identity.
To some, our magazine might appear as a conflicting combination of design styles, but we believe it perfectly represents ever-changing, multicultural life in Britain. Also, as a reflection of the modern day, areas within our magazine will be exploring the necessary mainstream, however we also aim speak to the people who feel underrepresented and lost when it comes to these mainstream trends. We hope our audience are those who can see our society shifting in a more all-encompassing and accepting manner.”
