ABOUT

Icy Point Strait involved the reimagining of a early 20th century salmon cannery on a remote island in South East Alaska. I spent 2 weeks living on the property surveying the buildings and abandoned machinery of the long closed cannery, and envisioning its potential for the conversion to a cruise ship destination. The final concept was used to sell the project internally to the Cruise Line planners, and then taken by local construction group as the blueprint for development. The addition of a floating pier by PND of Seattle this last year will ensure that the multi award winning destination will continue to delight guests for many years to come.
