I’m thrilled to share my latest Christmas Illustration.

I got the chance to create the very first Christmas themed livery for FlySAfair!
I received the commission from The Old Shanghai Firecracker Factory based in Sandton, South Africa. We have collaborated on many other projects over the years, this is by far the most exciting project we have done together!

To explain the process, we first explored many rough ideas and finally showed a rough thumbnail to client to kick things off.

Once the image concept was approved we cracked on with the vector art. Vector art is perfect for large scale plotter printout, necessary for the decals. Very important to get every vector absolutely spot on. (There is nothing worse than a mistake blown up to the size of a billboard!!)

Putting it all together to look like this

I love flying, love Christmas and being a illustrator wanting to bring joy, beauty and goodness through my art – this was a dream project, I consider myself to be so fortunate to have had this opportunity!
