About Rob
My degree in English Language and Journalism has not just given me a very in-depth understanding of proof reading and article writing, but has allowed me to understand, and work with, many different formats of writing. I have put this to good use in my experience of running and editing Stagg Magazine.
I have had experience in running and editing my own free web magazine, Stagg Magazine. In my tenure as editor during the magazine's production, I was responsible for: co-ordinating a small pool of writers, assigning articles to be written for clear and strict deadlines, while also proof reading and editing these articles; for regularly meeting with other members of the management team to discuss past and future performance; and enlisting new voluntary contributors to add to the talent pool whilst being an active contributor to the magazine myself.
I have always loved to write short stories and poems, although the constraints of employment after university have often made spending a dedicated amount of time on these projects difficult.
I am also a keen song-writer, having both written and contributed lyrics to songs that have been used by myself and others.
Whilst this shows that I am creative in a literary sense, my creativity also stretches to other spheres. I also love to draw and paint, as well as sing with my band.
I have excellent personal skills, with my experience as a teacher, chef and magazine editor demonstrating that I am able to interact with people of all ages and walks of life.
