ABOUT

YDance (Scottish Youth Dance) is the award-winning national dance organisation for children and young people in Scotland. Working through key partnerships in education, culture, health, and sport, they provide high-quality dance experiences across three main areas of work – Talent Development, Education and Participation.

YDance had been running roughly the same site for the last decade, so a big part of this job was re-organising all the existing content and presenting it in a way that made it friendly to use and easy to navigate. This site is the sharp end of the YDance marketing strategy, and I worked closely with them (I was in their office quite a lot, which was fun) to guarantee it fulfilled all their aims and objectives and was as future-proof as possible.

The site runs on Wordpress and is up to about 120 pages at the moment. Shortly after it launched I added the YDance Woocommerce shop to a subdomain to sell merch etc. In the future that will also be used to sell tickets and subscriptions to live events and courses.
