Instant krapee

Published

I’m seriously, hyper-wired happy about how much interest there’s been in AI generated image manipulation. Sorry. Making.

It’s brilliant. Thousands and thousands of people typing out instructions to an algorithm that burps out buildings shaped like octopus, busty (yes. Imagine. A bunch of blokes typing out their fantasies. What could possibly, ur, never mind) super heroes, octopus shaped like dystopian buildings. Octopus. Did I mention buildings?

It’s all great. Keep going! At this rate potential clients thinking Doll-e or Middreary is the cheap-jack answer to cutting the agency budget will be over the look by, what, Christmas? Or will be jumping onto another render shortcut. One will be along quicker than you can say ‘new Tory leader’.

Don’t know about yours, but I can’t recall any of my clients actually demanding the instant coffee from the vending machine over the real thing.

And that’s the thing. Instant coffee, on demand, freshly vended, too hot, bitter and with powdered milk seems like a good idea, right? Turns out it’s really not and what most would choose to avoid.

Unless. Unless, the 38 coffee shops average per square kilometre of your town or downtown didn’t get that memo? I may have made that figure up.

That we’d rather have - positively choose - a plastic cup of krapee over than something that actually smells and tastes like, umm, coffee?

No, can’t see better catching on over instant.

But anyway! Who cares? This is the internet! Everything is better here than in the real world! Yay!
