About me

Currently I am working as a Project Manager for dotCommerce (part of the dotdigitalgroup), although I enjoy my role here I feel that their isn't scope to develop my skills and abilities further.

I have taken on many different projects since I started nearly 2 years ago, ranging from low volume:high basket value sites to high volume:low basket value. I have been a part in some way or another on all of the projects delivered to date by the dotCommerce team - my involvement has ranged from pricing up a project - to writing and planning, project managing the platform and front end developments.

I have a wide range of skills which help me to deliver my projects on time and budgets. In the first instance, I fully wireframe the site in Axure (including front-end and back-end requirements) this forms part of the functional specification. Both documents are then used as part of the agreement between us and the client, along with the cost and timeline breakdown. I am currently using MS project as the primary project management tool, although I have used several other tools in the past.

I am familiar with Agile as this is used in other parts of our business and was also used for a short while in the dotCommerce product development team. This is an area that I am very keen to learn more about as I have seen the affects it can have ensuring the most important features are delivered in the correct order throughout the development cycle.
