About me

I graduated in July 2011 receiving a 2:1 in BA Hons in Graphic Design. As part of my degree studies I participated in two degree class exhibitions at Free Range Art Exhibition 2011 and New Designs Exhibition 2011. This work was featured on Artsthread Blog and in Design Week Magazine. I also completed 2 weeks work experience at a well established Advertising Agency called Gravity Global in London. This placement increased my knowledge and experience in developing and presenting ideas to groups of colleagues and directors.

After graduation I moved straight into employment at Tag Design and quickly adapted to the faster work pace the industry has. This soon improved my skills in making quicker and more efficient creative decisions.

Having well over a years experience working in the industry under short and strict deadlines, I have learned how to work under pressure as well as sharpen my software skills in programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Dreamweaver. Since being employed at Tag I have also gained valuable knowledge and experience in producing front-end web design and dealing with clients in a professional manner.

Since 2009 I have worked part time as a freelance designer. This has included projects involving print design,

front-end web design, branding and digital marketing. The clients I have worked for include bands, fashion labels, charities, property services and others. Working freelance has given me the oppurtunity to expand and diversify my portfolio and give me the opportunity to continue learning outside of employment.

Since October 2005 I have worked for Castle Green Centre. As I progressed in my design studies I was given the oppurtunity to design marketing material for the Leisure Centre, Uniform Shop, Cafe and Event Facilities within Castle Green. This work included researching and implementing different marketing strategies to gain and increase the customer bases in all areas.

I have experience in working as part of a team and also have the ability to work independently. I am hard working, well motivated and enthusiastic about my work. I feel I would be able to transfer my knowledge, skills and experience to this post and would welcome the opportunity to present myself at interview.
