I have always wanted to do a poster for John Carpenter’s The Thing.
For me the creepiest scene is the opening one, where the helicopter chases down a husky running, evading, the heli and man firing shots at it, all the while, steadily approaching the American artic research station, whilst ominous synth keyboard music plays in the background, the film only gets better, but that set the tone of the whole film for me.

For the PosterSpy art challenge I really, wanted to do a full size movie poster so this has been created In Adobe Illustrator 24″ x 36″.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it!
