About me

I am a German speaking Oxford University English graduate with eight years of experience in medical and 12 years of general proofreading. I have just finished a full time 9 month proofreading contract at a large multinational pharmaceutical company in Uxbridge (Bristol-Myers Squibb)in a busy deadline-driven design studio.

I used Adobe Acrobat to annotate, and had to adhere to strict style/brand/regulatory guidelines. I am used to working to tight deadlines and had to deliver my projects within the time deadlines given by the Traffic Manager. I am used to proofreading all the major European languages, from pre-version 1 Word docs up to approving pieces for preflight.

Most of my other general proofreading work, which has been ongoing for over 12 years now, is from a certified translator also in Austria for whom I have been working on a freelance basis for many years. Her clients include many internationally recognised companies, including advertising, design and website design companies.

I regularly correct conference papers and publications for the BMW automotive company in Munich and Masters and post-graduate theses as well as PowerPoint presentations. As you will see from my enclosed CV, I have an MA in English from Oxford University.
