Having run his signature furniture and accessories design business since 1990, Richard Taylor is something of a legend in the London interiors firmament.

We were thrilled when he approached us at the end of 2023 to reconsider his branding and website. It was a project which began by sourcing ‘hot’ metal type from an Italian printer in rural Umbria, eventually settling on a wonderful, ancient typeface. We used photographs of the type to draw up the new logo and created a smart ‘RTD’ hallmark too.

Everything the company does is made by hand, and it made sense that our new website design was too, beginning with custom illustrations of, and inspired by, his range of products. We drew anything and everything from stag beetles, mirrors, tables, floor lamps, dragon-flies to an anvil.

However the site itself is anything but analogue. Showcasing over 170 products available in multiple finishes, it allows interior designers and specifiers the freedom to select and customise from Richard’s incredible collection.
