A series of three animation loops for a personal essay about how the author Remee Patel's experience seeing her father fall ill doesn't change his past betrayals, and doesn't cause her to forgive him.

I kept the style and colours stripped back for this series, to highlight the bank, staticky space animated to represent the hole the Remee's father left in her life. Even when she dutifully visits him in hospital, she does it perfunctorily while still feeling little for him, so I used the motif of blank space where he/her heart would be throughout the images.
