About me

I have achieved both the Comptia A+ and the Comptia Network+ Certifications. Since then I have gained hands on in setting up home networks with wired/wireless broadband access and configuring routers for LAN/WAN access, DHCP configuration, port filtering/forwarding etc.

I have also gained hands on in setting up user accounts in Windows 2000/XP, TCP/IP configurations on desktops, using Remote Desktop and VPN connections, Telnet, bluetooth connections and basically most of what is covered by the Windows XP MCP certification. I also have a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office products and troubleshooting Windows faults including doing online research if needed to resolve issues.

I have also developed a working knowledge of HTML/XHTML, CSS, Javascript and some amount of PHP scripting, as well as some knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for graphic designing. Website design is a hobby of mine and my sites are *

Creating and publishing these sites have given me a hands on experience in registering a domain name, uploading webpages via FTP or via the web hosting company's customer control panel and utilising the other services within the control panel such as creating email accounts and SQL accounts and databases.
