To whom it may concern

My name is Rafael Quilez and I'm the senior Art Director currently working for McCann

Erickson in Madrid. I have been holding this position for nearly eight years.

I consider myself as a multidisciplinar and conceptual Art Director, with a good command of

the graphic media. I usually give importance to design as a necessary tool for developping a

good layout within an appropriate graphic concept. I am an expert on the layout and sketching

processes in a wide variety of formats, and I like to establish a graphic coherence both in the

offline and online environement.

The way I see it, creative photography and typography are essential elements to highlight a

good graphic concept.

On the other hand, I have the ability to effectively manage creative teams, junior art directors,

graphic designers, illustrators and typographers.

In my portfolio you will find two tv spots which are illustrative of the way I work. I think that

brilliant ideas can be brought up with a little money.

I'm looking for a position as an Art Director in an enterprise that goes for creativity and art

direction. I feel the need of looking into new horizons and I would be glad to work with people

that can provide to me a fresh perspective through creativity and art direction.
