Perfect Pint (PP) is the UK’s largest beer and pub social network and industry database. It is the most popular beer-related website in the UK with over 115,000 monthly website and mobile app visits. My role as Head Of Project Management involved initiating, facilitating and supervising the implementation of various projects across the Perfect Pint (PP) platform, effectively becoming the link between PP’s marketing, administrative and development teams.

Duties included:
- Re-organising PP’s project frameworks to integrate agile practices, greater user input and adherence to evidence-based principles from the beer industry and beyond
- Conducting comprehensive initial research prior to each project launch, including analysing user behaviour metrics, customer survey reports as well as integrating feedback from other PP team members
- Creating internal and customer-facing wireframes based on initial research and project requirements in order to fully communicate the project vision prior to funding committal
- Scoping time-frames and financial requirements, and setting achievable frameworks and deadlines/milestones for individual projects
- Continuously liaising with an international network of developers, customers, users, PP directors and team members
- Conducting and facilitating prototype and beta testing for relevant projects
- Signing off on project completion, monitoring results and managing any ongoing maintenance/development

Examples of projects are:
- Comprehensive upgrade of the PP website with a focus on user experience and interaction, resulting in engagement metrics rising significantly above industry standard
- Progressive evolution of the PP mobile apps to reduce memory burden, crashes and enhance user experience with new features
- Creation of the PP mobile site which increased website user retention by 50%
- Launch of the BeerScreen service for pubs - this was a large and complex project incorporating all aspects of the PP platform as well as the larger beer industry
- Continuous upgrades of PP’s custom Content Management System (CMS) to accommodate new feature developments and PP team requirements
- Custom projects for key industry partners such as JD Wetherspoon, Fuller’s and Greene King
