About me
I am currently in my second year of studying BA Art and Design at the University of Leeds. I am a very creative person, attentive to detail and enjoy working in design environments whatever is thrown at me as I am always ready to learn. I have an artistic background from doing GCSE and A level Art as well as practicing it for my degree. I have a passion for art, design, and branding basically anything which involves creativity, this means when I am set a task I'll do it because I enjoy it which I take pride in.
My Modules at University surround my main studio practice where I work independently in various media from digital to printing, drawing and painting. have previously completed modules in Patterns and Culture, Photography, Fashion Brand Analysis, Fundamentals of Imaging, Design History and Material Culture and Mass Consumption. This Year I am taking Research Methods, Principles of Marketing, Marketing Creativity and Innovation, and will take more next semester in Eco Design, Photography and Colour: art and Science. This variety of learning across many aspects of design gives me a broad spectrum of knowledge and interests across the design world.
I have completed work experience at Checkland Kindleysides- a business which focusses on branding and communication for other brands by using means of digital communication, to interior design and marketing. I shadowed a creative in the brand communication section which I really enjoyed and it showed me this is what I want to pursue in my future career. I undertook projects of rebranding in logo designs, planning and store designs. As well as creating artwork for the company itself. I have also produced some freelance work such as branding for a facial Aesthetics company where I helped with their logo design, photography and social media.
